Because the chief engineer of the camera system for the autonomous system (which left Tesla, btw) said it clearly: without LiDAR, it might not be safe. Then there's revenue and market size. Google does 250,000 paid rides weekly with 2,500 robotaxis fully autonomous. They say the global market could be $200B. I repeat: $200B. But Tesla, your pile of dog poop, currently has 28 robotaxis supervised, not fully autonomous, making... how many paid rides per week? ๐๐๐ None or so? Okay... now, Musk, the jokester, claims the world market is about $10 TRILLION. ๐๐๐ How can you trust? Google always delivers, or Tesla, which keeps messing with you, promising much but delivering little. Google says $200B, Tesla promises $10 Trillion. ๐๐๐ Keep dreaming
